HADESTOWN: THE MYTH. THE MUSICAL.

A Tony Award Winning musical, Hadestown is a modern take on the Greek myth tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice. The stage is intimate and with a prominent live band, makes it feel like a live indie concert. The ever evolving campaign started with a strong brand first strategy into a more character focus look as the show gained more praise and attention.



Taking advantage of the show’s unique “indie spirit” as well as their emphasis on live band music in their show, wild posting advertisements that are more commonly used for concert advertisements for bands were created to give the show a “live music” feel. The show’s branding is accompanied by images composited and stylized from various production photos of the different characters to achieve a cohesive series that spans across building walls. (Messaging emphasis were changed to promote accolades and the cast album in the in-situation photo.)
